Privacy Policy for Bookmark Sniper

Bookmark Sniper is a Chrome extension provided by Juicy Apps. It replaces the New Tab page with an interactive bookmark game. This policy explains how the extension handles information.

Information handled by the extension

Bookmark Sniper processes website titles and URLs that you add manually, save using “Add this page,” or import from Chrome bookmarks. These titles and URLs may contain personal information depending on the websites you save.

When you open the extension’s toolbar popup, it temporarily reads the active tab’s title and URL to display the page you can save. It stores that information only when you choose to add the page.

If you choose to import Chrome bookmarks and grant the optional permission, the extension reads your bookmark tree and copies supported website titles and URLs into its own local list. It does not modify or delete your original Chrome bookmarks.

The extension also stores local preferences and internal setup flags needed for its features. Mouse movements and clicks are processed locally to operate the game; they are not recorded as analytics or sent to Juicy Apps.

Storage and use

Saved bookmarks and preferences are stored on your device using Chrome’s local extension storage. The extension does not use Chrome Sync to synchronize this information and does not upload it to a developer-operated server.

This information is used only to display and manage your game bookmarks, open websites you select, and remember local preferences. Bookmark Sniper does not require an account.

Information we do not collect or share

The extension does not send your bookmarks, tab details, or gameplay activity to Juicy Apps or to analytics or advertising services. It has no telemetry, tracking pixels, advertising SDKs, or remote AI processing. Game graphics and other runtime assets are bundled with the extension.

We do not sell, rent, or share extension user data. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or unrelated purposes. Juicy Apps does not have remote access to your locally stored bookmarks through the extension.

Permissions

• storage: saves your game bookmarks, preferences, and setup flags locally.
• activeTab: allows the toolbar popup to read the current page’s title and URL after you click the extension’s icon, so you can use “Add this page.”
• bookmarks (optional): reads Chrome bookmarks only when you choose the import feature and grant permission. The extension’s import feature does not change Chrome’s original bookmarks.

Bookmark Sniper does not request access to your browsing history, passwords, cookies, or the contents of every website you visit.

External websites

Selecting a saved bookmark or a built-in link, including the Juicy Apps link, opens that website in your browser. Your browser then connects to the destination normally. Those websites may receive standard connection information and use their own cookies or other technologies under their own privacy policies. This policy covers the extension, not those websites.

Retention and your choices

Saved bookmarks remain in local extension storage until you remove them or uninstall the extension. You can view and remove entries using the bookmark manager or the game’s deletion feature. A temporary undo action may restore the most recently removed entry during the current session.

Uninstalling the extension removes its local extension storage. Deleting entries or uninstalling Bookmark Sniper does not delete your original Chrome bookmarks. You can decline bookmark import and use manually added bookmarks instead. Optional permissions can be managed in Chrome’s extension settings.

Security

The extension relies on Chrome’s extension storage and your device’s security protections. It does not provide an additional encrypted vault for saved titles or URLs. Anyone with access to your browser profile or device may be able to access locally stored information.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

Bookmark Sniper’s use of information received from Chrome APIs is limited to providing its stated bookmark and New Tab features and adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information is not transferred for advertising or other unrelated purposes.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the extension’s features or data practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
